Group Bookings & Evening Hire
While we’re mostly a walk-in kind of pub, we’re always happy to look after groups, just give us a heads-up so we can make sure you’ve got the space you need.
If you’re planning a get-together during our regular opening hours, we can often reserve a table or two for small groups, especially midweek when things are a little quieter.
For something a little more private, we can sometimes offer exclusive evening hire midweek depending on the day, perfect for small celebrations or club socials that need the whole place to themselves. Availability for this depends on the day, time and nature of the function so get in touch and we’ll see what we can do.
We’re a small venue with a friendly team, so everything’s handled personally – no complicated booking systems or rigid packages. Just tell us what you have in mind, and we’ll do our best to make it happen.
Private Daytime Functions – Monday – Thursday
Did you know The Lazy Landlord is licensed during the day. Our cosy little micropub can be yours for private functions between 11am – 4pm Monday to Thursday.
The pub feels completely different in the daylight — soft natural light through the windows, breweriana catching the sun, and a calm atmosphere that’s perfect for small gatherings. Whether it’s a birthday or a bereavement, a team get-together, or a club meeting, or just an excuse to enjoy a pint or two with friends in peace, you can have the place all to yourself.
We’re a small venue, and that’s what makes it work so well. There’s space for around 25-30 seated with an extra 15-20 standing, spread across our two rooms situated either side of our bar. We offer the same relaxed, friendly service you’d expect in the evening. We’ll pour the beers, keep things easy, and let you enjoy the space your way.
The bar will be open serving our current line up of beers and beverages, tea and coffee can be arranged if required. If there’s a particular beer, brewery or beer style you’d love to have on the pumps I’m sure we can accommodate.
Food wise, you’re welcome to bring in light food, platters, or arrange for local cater to come in. We have a large table in the back that can be used for a buffet. I’d prefer parties to arrange their own food however I can work out some options if you’d like something providing.
Over the years, we’ve hosted all sorts of small occasions, mostly birthday parties and usually semi-private evening affairs.
